In farms, nuts are picked and sorted. Before anything, we choose our nuts; almonds or macadamias, or cashews, of the first grade quality, which can actually be eaten raw.
Our idea is to simply oven-bake our nuts to reduce their moisture and preserve their natural flavours. They are delivered off the racks right away.
Just grab them and pack them away for a treat anytime. No-frills.
I always hear that nuts are dieters’ dreams come true because they are packed with energy-giving calories, along with lots of good monounsaturated fats (not the unhealthy ones), protein, minerals and dietary fibre. To spice life up a little, my bakers and I started out with a small range of recipes, hoping to make these plain snacks so much more tasty and indulgent.
Here we are constantly hand-making and perfecting our glazes. They are not too overwhelming, powdery or sticky. My bakers also choose sea salt, olive oil and pure honey so that the minerals and flavours are kept within the food.
Eating well and eating best is what I tell my family. Now you and I complete life’s simple pleasures, such as family outings, picnics, hiking and movies, with wholesome delicious nuts.
