Not the Usual Tortillas and Chips
1 March 2013
Once, my daughter was studying for her papers. Like some other times, a bag of cheese-flavored Cheetos sits on the desk to satisfy her cravings and sustain the momentum throughout the day. The nibbling and crunching makes me look over, thinking of grabbing some chips for myself.
They call it comfort foods. Foods that spice up life. We think its the same for cheese. Starting a good breakfast with sliced cheese on sandwiches. Grilled cheese on pastas and potatoes..
Brie, cheddar, goat’s cheese and many more. We have tasted different cheese crackers, bread and nuts. Cheese and macadamias seems like a fine recipe. We have been thinking about adding another different culinary touch to these nuts. So finally, I decided that the cheese I bought for my own baking could come in helpful for this recipe.
There were so many kinds of cheese indeed. I googled and read that cheese was discovered by an Arabian nomad who carried milk in a water bag made from animal stomach. The natural enzymes in the bag and heat caused the milk become curd. I’m not sure if that’s real. But there’s always a reason how man found out the way things work.
We wanted to make things our own way, trying conventional foods to make nuts even better. We shall let you have a say if they are good.
